Development of Membrane Reactor Coupling Hydrogen and Syngas Production

چکیده
Simultaneous syngas and pure hydrogen production through partial oxidation of methane water splitting, respectively, were demonstrated by using mixed ionic–electronic conductors. Tubular ceramic membranes prepared from La0.5Sr0.5FeO3 perovskite successfully utilized in a 10 M lab scale reactor applying radial arrangement. The supply to the middle area reaction zone was shown provide uniform distribution chemical load along tubes’ length. A steady flow steam feeding inner part used as oxidative media. described configuration found be favorable maintaining oxygen permeability values exceeding 1.1 mL∙cm–2∙min–1 long-term stability related functional characteristics. Methane’s assisted 10%Ni@Al2O3 catalyst proceeded with selectivity above 90% conversion almost 100%. transition laboratory model operating on one tubular membrane ten-tube resulted no losses specific performance. optimized gaseous fuel opens up possibility scaling creating promising prototype multitubular simplified sealing procedure.

Steam Reforming and Gasification of Pyrolysis Oil Reactor and Process Development for Syngas Production from Biomass
Gasification of pyrolysis oil was studied in a fluidized bed over a wide temperature range (523-914 °C) with and without the use of nickel-based catalysts. Noncatalytically, a typical fuel gas was produced. Both a special designed fluid bed catalyst and a crushed commercial fixed bed catalyst showed an initial activity for syngas (H2 and CO) production at T >700 °C. However, these catalysts los...
متن کاملHydrogen Production from Ammonia Using Plasma Membrane Reactor
In this study, an efficient method for using pulsed plasma to produce hydrogen from ammonia was developed. An original pulsed plasma reactor with a hydrogen separation membrane was developed for efficient hydrogen production, and its hydrogen production performance was investigated. Hydrogen production in the plasma was affected by the applied voltage and flow rate of ammonia gas. The maximum h...
متن کاملA Hybrid Adsorbent-membrane Reactor (hamr) System for Hydrogen Production
Introduction An experimental study on the performance of a novel reactor system, termed the hybrid adsorbent-membrane reactor (HAMR) is described here. In the HAMR the reaction and membrane separation steps are coupled with adsorption. It was shown previously by our group that for esterification reactions this results in significantly improved performance. The focus in this presentation is on t...
متن کاملApplication of Biomass to Hydrogen and Syngas Production
Today there is a worldwide interest in the use of biomass as an environmental friendly renewable energy source. The depletion of fossil oil reserves, constant uncertainties as far as price is concerned, unsecured supplies, and environmental pollution are among the many energy problems, when the use of fossil fuels are considered. Greenhouse effect and its consequences on climate change is one o...
متن کاملSupported Pd-Au Membrane Reactor for Hydrogen Production: Membrane Preparation, Characterization and Testing.
A supported Pd-Au (Au 7wt%) membrane was produced by electroless plating deposition. Permeation tests were performed with pure gas (H₂, H₂, N₂, CO₂, CH₄) for long time operation. After around 400 h under testing, the composite Pd-Au membrane achieved steady state condition, with an H₂/N₂ ideal selectivity of around 500 at 420 °C and 50 kPa as transmembrane pressure, remaining stable up to 1100 ...
